Nadia is absolutely the best. Before pet sitting, she was incredibly thorough in making sure she fully understood each of my pets and their individual needs. She even came in advance to meet them and brought a notebook to take detailed notes, asking thoughtful questions I hadn’t even considered myself. It was immediately clear that she would care for my animals as if they were her own.

She was also wonderful with my bird, which takes a very special kind of care and attention. On top of that, she emailed me all of her organized notes ahead of time to make sure she hadn’t missed anything — and even brought laminated copies with her on the day she pet sat! Absolutely phenomenal experience. I will definitely continue using her services and cannot recommend her enough.

Wedding Pet Sitter |⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nadia is the peace of mind you are looking for when you have to leave your fur baby! Nadia was the first sitter I worked with as a first time dog owner, at my pup's tender age of 7 months. I had an unconventional need - my best friend was getting married over MDW and I wanted Rooh to stay at the same hotel but Rooh needed active supervision and as MOH, I needed to be fully available throughout the 4 day stay (Indian wedding, IYKYK). Before committing we arranged a meeting and Nadia was very gentle in connecting with Rooh and inquisitive in learning as much as she could about him. When the day came to start watching Rooh, it was a busy morning for me with the bride and I couldn't be there to greet her or explain his routines/belongings in detail, but my parents were able to give her the low down. Rooh was excited to see her! We had a small bit of miscommunication about her staying that night but she quickly made rearrangements to accommodate.

Rooh was part of some of the wedding events/pictures and Nadia was super accommodating (with getting him into his outfits and having him ready on demand) and timely in facilitating that. Rooh was always drawing a crowd throughout the hotel. She was great about dealing with various cultural things, parents, personalities (some not so pleasant about dogs being around) and children of all ages - but she maintained great composure, respect and most importantly kept Rooh safe. She reinforced my training and Rooh was very comfortable and relaxed with her. She was super communicative in sharing where she was going, updates and tons of pictures! She was also super sweet about letting me see Rooh late at night after events ended. I have no reservations about her watching Rooh again - in fact I feel much better about wanting to take trips knowing I have Nadia to watch him. Though my need was out of a hotel, I have no hesitations about having her watch Rooh out of my home or sending Rooh to her. She sets the bar so dang high, that I struggled to find someone as thoughtful and in tune with Rooh when I took him on a vacation this summer! Highly, highly recommend!

super amazing! Nadia took care of my 6 year old border collie named Matcha while I was away in Turkiye for 2 weeks. Nadia sent daily updates with photos and kept me posted about their daily activities. Matcha is a rescue with some anxiety and shyness but Nadia knew exactly how to approach this and befriend Matcha. highly recommend Nadia to anyone who needs their pup taken care of :)

I can’t recommend Paws By The Lake enough! They took such incredible care of my dog and truly treated him like their own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pup was not only safe, but also loved and well cared for the entire time. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they watch, and it really shows in the way they go above and beyond. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter!

Nadia was fantastic when she took care of my dog, Violet, and cat, Wasabi, while I was on vacation a few weeks ago. My dog has never been watched by anyone but family before so I was nervous to leave her with a sitter for the first time, especially since I would be out of state. Nadia asked tons of questions about my girls’ routines, feeding schedules, preferences and any training I wanted to reinforce. She was incredibly thoughtful and considerate of my anxiety about leaving them with a sitter and checked in often with photos/text messages. Her rates are reasonable and she provides top notch care — when I arrived home from my trip, Violet didn’t want Nadia to leave which I think speaks a lot about how she treats the animals she sits. I highly recommend booking Nadia if you are looking for a sitter who is compassionate, gentle and kind with your pets. We will definitely be using her services again the next time I go out of town :)

Nadia was extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and so was Honey. If you care about your dog, if you want them to have as much of a good time as you are while on your vacation, if you’re away or for whatever reason, Paws by the Lake would be my first and only recommendation. It will be better than any experience you could get elsewhere and at a very reasonable and affordable rate. We have nothing but kind things to say about Nadia and her boyfriend Akshay, who took Honey into their home like she was their own.
